The Project+, Let’s make it FIT technology from HSV was deployed here to ensure optimal development and realisation of this flexible balanced ventilation system.
By incorporating EPP and injection-moulded plastic components, the product is lightweight and has high-quality thermal properties. A number of advantages:
- Suitable for installation on ceiling, wall and floor
- High thermal yield at 90%
- Luxurious capacity of 260 and 360 m³/h at 200 Pa
- Extremely energy-efficient and near-silent noise levels
- Compact

Description
The housing of this balanced ventilation system was developed and produced in co-creation with the client. Based on an initial design concept, the engineers at HSV brainstormed to transform the preliminary design into a feasible product using sustainable mould constructions.
Project+, Let’s make it FIT
Using the HSV Project+ approach also significantly streamlined the assembly process, delivering savings in time, costs and the logistics process.
HSV has the expertise and production facilities to ensure that injection-moulded plastic components (HSV Technical Moulded Parts) and particle foam components (HSV Packaging & Insulation) are optimally aligned. We are delighted to deploy our knowledge and facilities for your product innovation, or for re-designing from metal to plastic.
Advantages
The EPP components and injection-moulded plastic components used in this OptiAir housing achieve advantages and savings for the designer, our customer, the installation technicians and the end user, including the following:
- The designer has lots of room to create a product featuring a unique design, thanks to the design freedom offered by plastics and the techniques used in production.
- EPP and other plastics are lightweight and yet robust. This product weighs only 23 kg, making it easy to handle during installation and assembly.
- EPP has excellent insulating and constructive properties and is easy to clean, making it more comfortable and convenient for end users.
Features
Using modern injection-moulding technology, a laser texture is added to the surface of the visible EPP components, enhancing the aesthetic value of the product. Designing in EPP offers interesting options for simple, functional positioning of electronics and other components.
Sustainable mould construction
The mould construction is sustainable, achieving a very long service life thanks to durable materials and sophisticated mould technology.
Green energy
The housing is manufactured and assembled in the HSV production locations, where sustainability is part of all our business practices. These locations run on green energy, generated partly by solar panels installed on the roofs of our facilities.
