HSV Moulded Foams Group has subsidiaries in the Netherlands, Germany and Poland. We manufacture moulded products from EPS (airpop® engineered air), EPP and EPE, for example, and many technical varieties. Our customers include well-known multinationals in the home appliances, electronics, automotive and equipment industries, as well as numerous medium-sized companies who rely on us for a custom-made product. Passion for engineering

To do our work as engineers properly, we need good people and good tools.  That’s why a team of 11 qualified engineers work at HSV - they are your co-creators. We use a Windchill portal for simple data exchange; we carry out moldflow and FEM analyses for you. We have a number of CAD2CNC milling stations. We use reverse engineering to revert your product to CAD.

Custom manufacturing

Custom manufacturing means we never avoid a request. We have sales engineers in the Netherlands, Poland and Germany. We process all common materials: EPS (airpop® engineered air), EPP, ETPU, Piocelan, E-POR, ARCEL, HIPS, Suncolor and varieties.  We operate machines varying in size from 400x300 to 2500x1600mm and our energy sources are sustainable. We apply mirror welding technology to create even larger products. We recycle a lot of our products.

Excellent Service

We adapt to your delivery requirements. Just-in-time, Kanban, data integration, rolling forecast, demand forecasting, warehousing. We can link our data systems to yours. We have our own test laboratory where we can perform destructive tests or endurance testing. We are ISO 9001 certified and our project management comprise PPAP, FMEA.

It takes only 2% raw materials to make a 100% product from our expanded plastics. The remaining 98% is nothing more than plain air. This very low use of raw materials shows that our raw materials are used very efficient.

In addition, smart designs always ensure the development of designs with low use of materials, that do not use more raw materials than strictly necessary. There are few materials that can deliver such a tremendous effect with such low use of raw materials. Smart engineering delivers products that you can use with an ecologically clean conscience. They save energy, weight, breakage, damage, time, space and CO2 emissions. All over the world, manufacturing industries, food, pharma, automotive, aviation industries rely on the innovative effect of particle foams.  

Sustainability in manufacturing

HSV also uses green energy. Our power supply is generated by the solar panels on the roofs of our own facilities. We have direct contracts with various wind turbine operators. In our products, materials and production, we contribute as much as possible to reducing CO2 emissions and minimising the CO2 footprint.

Recycling

Our materials are often made of standard plastics, so they are easy to recycle. The Netherlands has the highest collection percentage of EPS (airpop® engineered air): 64%. More and more town councils are creating separate collection for airpop® at their recycling centres and join the airpop® collection network through our industry organisation Stybenex. We collect it and process it in new products. airpop® waste from packaging is collected separately and delivered back to the companies involved who use it again in new products. Furthermore, airpop® can be recycled 100%, making it a feasible raw material for numerous other plastic products. Following the motto “raw materials for raw materials”, the EPS industry has introduced several successful collection initiatives. In this respect, the EPS industry is ahead of the rest of the plastics processing industry.
