Application of EPP as a construction material reduces CO2 footprint significantly!

Recent studies from our raw material supplier JSP show that the use of EPP recovers up to 12 times its CO2 impact.

The products of HSV provide in unique specifications. Like low weight, combined with other characteristics; therefor they save much more energy throughout their life cycle than the costs during production.

In the accompanying Life Cycle Analysis, ‘ARPRO LCA report’ link you can read more. For example the weight savings realized through the use of EPP as the core of the back seat from a car.

On the whole lifecycle of, for example a chair application, EPP saves up to 265 kg of CO2 emission, compared to previous constructive solutions. The entire production cycle of EPP, from ‘raw material to recycling’ results in only 22 kg of CO2 emission.

Clear conclusions that strongly support the use of EPP as a constructive material or as an insulation material, from an environmental point of view.
