ARPRO REvolution
Expanded polypropylene (EPP) with a recycled content of nearly 100%
ARPRO REvolution emerged from the demand for more recycled materials and will be launched in autumn 2022. Interested in using this EPP recyclate for the realisation of your injection-moulded product? Read more, request a feasibility study and contact us today.
The particle foam engineers at HSV would be happy to provide information and technical advice – and HSV now has sample material available.
ARPRO REvolution and other types of recycled material
Besides ARPRO REvolution, HSV also has other types of recycled material in its portfolio. Examples include ARPRO 5121 RE and ARPRO 5135 RE, but also ARPRO 5134 RE and ARPRO 35 Ocean.
Do you have any questions about applications for recycled materials? Ask the particle foam engineers at HSV.
ARPRO REvolution granulate
ARPRO REvolution granulate is manufactured using end-of-life EPP shaped components. These EPP shaped components are sorted, compacted and regranulated. This EPP recyclate (ARPRO REvolution) can then be used to manufacture non-technical shaped components, such as packaging, leisure applications and furniture.
Stringent quality requirements
Obviously, old EPP shaped components are recycled according to stringent quality requirements. This is good for the environment, helps to reduce CO2 emissions even further, and contributes to a circular economy, since valuable raw materials are retained and re-used.
CO2 footprint
ARPRO REvolution has the lowest CO2 footprint of all the types of expanded polypropylene (EPP). Compared to conventional EPP, ARPRO REvolution offers 42% lower CO2 emissions, dropping from 2.7 kg CO2 eq./kg to 1.57 CO2 eq./kg.
ARPRO REvolution is the answer for everyone who wants to innovate and also to:
- Minimise environmental impact
- Reduce ecological footprint
- Achieve sustainable innovation
- Help ensure that resources remain available, now and in the future
Sustainability Goals

The use of ARPRO REvolution makes it possible to drastically reduce our global environmental impact and support the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. We now have a tangible technical solution at our disposal, instead of trading in CO2 emissions certificates.
Technical properties
The technical properties of ARPRO REvolution can vary from one batch to another. This is related to the end-of-life status of the EPP shaped components that are used to make the recyclate. Relevant factors include the quality of the materials used in the original components, possible weather conditions, and how far the shaped components have degraded before they were recycled.
